Join us for Summer Steelhead Camp!

Learn about how to successfully pursue some of the finest fish that swim in our beautiful Pacific Northwest waters! Avid anglers from the Association of Northwest Steelheaders and professional fishing guides from the Northwest Guides and Anglers Association will teach you about the technique of plunking — a time-tested, fun, and inexpensive way to catch salmon and steelhead off our region’s beaches and gravel bars.

Participants will learn how to build lures to target salmon and steelhead, create your own sand rod holder, and learn or perfect your casting techniques. Assistance will be provided for catching and cleaning your fish.

The Northwest Steelheaders and Northwest Guides and Anglers wish to provide a safe, intimidation-free atmosphere to learn how to fish. Our goal is to teach you effective strategies to target fish, camp with respect to the outdoors, and inform you about our conservation work throughout the Pacific Northwest — particularly about forest conservation and its relation to the health of our fish populations. This opportunity is open to everyone and is family friendly!
